CENTRAL & NORTHERN REGION FAMILY DAY 2026 STRENGTHENS DBNA BONDS AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

BINTULU, 27 September 2026 — The Central & Northern Region Family Day 2026 was successfully held at Rh. Bujang Endawie, Bintulu, bringing together more than 100 participants representing seven DBNA branches, namely Sarikei, Kapit, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, Penrissen and Miri.

The programme was graced by YB Dato Majang as the Guest of Honour, with Lennon Anak Sanom serving as the Organising Chairman and DBNA Bintulu Branch as the organiser.

The gathering provided an important platform for DBNA members from the Central and Northern regions to strengthen fellowship, promote unity and foster closer engagement with the local community.
Among the highlights was a BBQ lunch attended by the Guest of Honour, DBNA members and residents of Rh. Bujang Endawie. The gathering provided an opportunity for members and residents to interact in a relaxed and cordial setting while strengthening community ties.

The programme also featured a fire safety demonstration and drill conducted by the BOMBA Department. As part of the community safety initiative, BOMBA presented five fire extinguishers to Rh. Bujang Endawie.
Participants subsequently took part in a series of fun games and friendly competitions, involving both individual and inter-branch activities. The sessions encouraged teamwork, camaraderie and healthy interaction among members from the seven participating branches.

Another significant highlight was the presentation of DBNA Life Members Cards, presented by the Vice President on behalf of Datuk President, in recognition of the organisation’s valued life members.

The occasion also saw YB Dato Majang pledge RM20,000 to DBNA Bintulu Branch and RM25,000 to Rh. Bujang Endawie, reflecting continued support for the organisation and the local community.

The successful gathering underscores DBNA’s continued commitment to strengthening unity among its members, enhancing community engagement and fostering meaningful partnerships for the benefit of the Bidayuh community.
